Remembrance Bowls
Remembrance: the act of remembering and being remembered.
These handwoven bowls are an invitation to reach back to a time when you experienced yourself and the rest of Nature as one - perhaps as a child, lying in the grass, feeling the sun and the breeze as you gazed up at clouds floating through the blue sky. Even now, experiencing yourself as Nature is as close as inhaling the air, and as pleasurable as resting in cool grass under a starry night sky. And yet, our modern times repeatedly pull us away from this essential bond. We forget.
elemental's Remembrance Bowls come in traditional Tibetan colors relating to the five elements: Blue-Space, White-Air, Red-Fire, Green-Water, and Yellow-Earth. You may be drawn to connect with one or more of these elements as you begin your journey of reconnection with yourself as Nature. Tune in to your body. Which element calls you?
Our bowls are a way to hold mementos from the land, perhaps a rock, leaf, shell, or feather that drew your attention while you were out-of-doors meandering through the woods--maybe a handful of soil, a vial of water, or a note to yourself about what it means to you to be Nature is something you'd like to place inside your bowl. We invite you to take your bowl out onto the land with open curiosity about what might want to come home with you. Placing your bowl in view will help you maintain your connection to Earth.
Our hope is that these bowls will allow you to remain in your untamed nature throughout your days.
